Dirty Paws has partnered with Canine Hero’s to accommodate Board & Train services. Dogs enrolled in this program will board at the Canine Hero’s kennel facility. Training is conducted by professional trainers in a structured, supervised setting designed to support learning, rest, and routine.
Board & Train is designed to provide focused, professional training while building a strong foundation that owners can maintain once their dog returns home.
Board & Train Program
Your Dogs Home Away From Home
At Dirty Paws, our Board & Train program provides an immersive training experience designed to build a solid foundation, address behavior challenges, and support long-term success. Dogs in this program receive structured training, daily care, and routine in a safe, supervised environment.
Each Board & Train program is customized to the individual dog. Whether the goal is to strengthen obedience, address specific behavior concerns, or build advanced skills, training plans are tailored to the dog’s needs to ensure clear communication, consistency, and steady progress.
When your dog is enrolled in Board & Train, they work closely with professional trainers through daily, structured training sessions. Training is balanced with appropriate rest, enrichment, and controlled social exposure when suitable. This approach supports learning while maintaining the dog’s overall well-being in a calm, structured setting.

Training does not end when a Board & Train program is complete. Dirty Paws focuses on building a strong foundation that owners can maintain and continue at home.
At the end of the program, owners receive a transfer session to learn how skills are taught, how to practice them correctly, and how to maintain structure and consistency. Follow-up support and guidance are provided to help apply training in everyday situations.
The goal is clear communication, realistic expectations, and long-term success beyond the training environment.

Custom E-Collar Straps Available

E-Collar Training (Optional)
E-collar training may be available as part of a Board & Train program for dogs who are appropriate candidates. E-collars are used as a communication aid and are not required for participation in the program.
If included, e-collar conditioning is introduced gradually and only after a dog demonstrates a clear understanding of the trained behaviors. Use is kept at low levels and paired with leash guidance and reinforcement to support clarity and consistency.
Owner approval is required prior to the use of an e-collar. When e-collar training is part of the program, owners receive instruction during the transfer session to ensure proper handling, safety, and continued use at home if appropriate.
E-collars are not recommended for every dog and are only used when they align with the dog’s temperament, training needs, and long-term goals.
E-Collar Equipment Cost
If e-collar training is approved and included in a Board & Train program, the cost of the e-collar unit is not included in the program price and will be an additional charge. The specific model will be selected based on the dog’s needs and owner preference.
